Dear Fellow Nurses at FCCJ:

We are writing this letter to support the benefits of belonging to the United Faculty of Florida (UFF). As Broward Community College nursing faculty, we are a part of the college community. What benefits the college faculty also benefits the nursing faculty. The union has helped us in many ways.

Examples include:

establishing equitable salaries,
the professional evaluation tool,
sabbatical leaves,
work hours,
and the academic calendar.

It also has given us a vehicle to Administration to voice our concerns, etc. The Union has also supported us in difficult situations such as the grievance process, class loads, equitable insurance benefits, etc.

We hope this information will be of assistance to the nursing faculty of FCCJ as you make a decision to vote "YES" for the Florida Community College Faculty Federation.
