Vote for Students and the College
For me a vote for the Union is more than just a vote against the administration.
Many of us feel that respect, valuing initiative, egalitarian effort, mutual support are dead or at least in the academic intensive care unit. We can't allow things to get worse. Many older faculty are not driven by huge salary concerns but now actual salary decreases and serious threats to our other benefits force us to vote for the union. We can't afford to let a leadership pursue their goals of adding more and more bureaucracy.
Instead, we need to change the focus so that we serve our students, the faculty, and a redirected administration.
