Who am I?

   Hi!  I'm Dr. Nancy Yurko, instructor for the hybrid course MCB 2010C on South Campus and the totally online BSC 1005.  I am also the Dean of Liberal Arts here on the South Campus of FCCJ.  I have been teaching Biology for almost 20 years now in three different states (each time moving a little farther south).  I did my undergraduate degree in Biology at Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland and my Ph.D. degree in Biology at Georgetown University.  Although my specialty there was Phycology (translate--/algae/pond scum), I also worked for several years as a microbiologist for the Food and Drug Administration in the Bureau of Medical Devices.  Consequently, you should be able to trust me as your instructor.  I look forward to meeting you soon.
